Enid Victoria Anderson Long, age 94, passed away on August 13, 2016 at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton, Utah. She was born on June 23, 1922 in Richmond, Utah to Gerda Johanna Larsen and John Edward Anderson.
She attended elementary school in Howell, Utah. On May 16, 1945 Enid married Chester Long in Brigham City, Utah. Throughout her life, Enid has lived in Howell, Richmond, Logan and Garland, Utah; as well as Long Beach, CA and Tempe & Mesa, AZ.
Enid worked as a LPN Nurse at Bear River Valley Hospital and Logan Hospital. She retired from Logan Hospital. She had a passion for giving care, so she continued to care for others providing in home care. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, cooking, her time as a 4H leader and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Enid was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her life.
Enid is survived by her children; Bradley (Deb) Long (Garland, UT), Nancy Johnson (Logan, UT), Cindy (Kelly) Moore (Roy, UT), and Steven K. VanZandt (Roy, UT); one brother, Ray (Bonnie) Anderson; 9 grandchildren & spouses; 22 great-grandchildren & spouses; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; one daughter, Karen Beverly Long; and one son, Leonard C. Long.
Funeral services for Enid will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton, UT) with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:40 am. Interment will be in the Richmond, UT cemetery.
