East Garland, UT – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend Erma Oyler Andersen, 78, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 1, 1931 in her grandparent’s home in Garland, a daughter of LeRoy and Leah Rogers Oyler. She grew up in East Garland graduating from BRHS in 1949. She was a member of the 1st Acapella Choir at BRHS and shared her musical talent throughout the valley. She married her high school sweetheart, Leon H. Andersen September 7, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They started their family in Garland and settled in East Garland where they lived for 47 years raising six children. She raised her family and then worked at Thiokol where she retired after 25 years. She enjoyed dancing with her sweetheart of 62 years, quilting, crocheting and making delicious candy at Christmas. She also enjoyed pinochle parties and posse rides with friends. She loved watching her grandkids in whatever they were involved in. They will all miss her support. Mom had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in many church callings.
