Errol Bowcutt

October 28, 1937 — April 24, 2015

Garland - Errol G. Bowcutt, 77, passed away on April 24, 2015, surrounded by his family at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.  Errol was born on October 28, 1937, in Tremonton, Utah, to Thelma Cannon Tibbetts & Clifford Bowcutt.

He attended and graduated from Bear River High School. He married his sweetheart Suzanne Andersen in the Logan LDS Temple on March 2, 1956.

Errol owned and operated his own American Oil Service Station (Errol’s American) in Tremonton. He sold the station and went to work at Thiokol until his retirement.

He was a member of the Army National Guard serving as Staff Sergeant. He loved working on cars and especially loved to work in his woodshop. He shared this hobby with his family and friends. Errol also enjoyed serving on the volunteer fire departments in both Tremonton & Garland.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the gospel. He served in many ward organizations. He was so grateful to be able to serve a mission in Ireland with his wife Suzanne. After serving their mission, Errol and Suzanne enjoyed their calling as temple ordinance workers in the Logan & Brigham City Temples. At the time of his passing, he was serving as Branch President of the North Park Branch at Our House Assisted Living. He loved the members there.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne, four sons: Jeff (Tonna), Bruce (Kim), Bart (Nanette) & Scott (Connie); 14 grandchildren and their spouses and 13 great grandchildren, as well as brothers Michael (Katie) Bowcutt, Hyrum Paetsch Jr. and twin sisters Sandra (Rob) Broadhead and Sue (Kent) Lish.

Errol was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Scott, brother-in-law Richard Nelson and nephew Michael Bowcutt.

Funeral services for Errol will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle (140 W. Factory). Viewings will be held on Tuesday evening April 28, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.) and prior to the funeral from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Tabernacle.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the Huntsman Cancer Institute & the Bear River Valley Hospital, as well as the volunteers of the Tremonton & Garland Fire Departments. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the General Missionary Fund in Errol’s name.
