Evelyn Harris Fuhriman

Evelyn Harris Fuhriman returned home to the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on April 4^th, 2023, at the age of 101. Evelyn was born June 26, 1921 in Portage, Utah to Zina and William Harris. She graduated from Bear River High School in Garland Utah. Evie married Lee D. Fuhriman on March 22, 1940 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Together they raised 6 children, which she considered to be her greatest accomplishment in life. She was a housewife and farmer’s wife which included many responsibilities like cooking for everyone, sewing for many,  delivering Tab to Lee in the fields, and taking care of her garden. Lee passed away on February 24, 1995. Evelyn later married Carl Isaacson on January 4, 2000, and he passed away a few short years later.

Evelyn had a strong faith in God and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served two missions for the church for 6 months each in Chicago and San Diego. She held various callings in the church including Relief Society President, and she enjoyed doing family history.

She lived in Portage, Logan, Pocatello Valley, Tremonton, St. George and Brigham City. Many have memories of Evie singing and playing the organ or sitting around a table playing cards. Others have memories of visiting the farm, enjoying her homemade potato salad and driving for the first time. She had lots of friends and always loved to show them pictures of her family. Regardless of what Evelyn was doing, she was always the happiest when surrounded by family.

Evelyn is survived by her 6 children Dixie (Chuck) Dursteler, Dennis Fuhriman, Cheryl (Fred) Davis, Richard (Roni) Fuhriman, Joyce (Peter) Kelly, Doug (Trudy) Fuhriman, many grandchildren, many many great-grands and great-great-grands. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and two daughters-in-laws.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Noon at the Tremonton Stake Center (660 N 300 E- Tremonton). Viewings will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 6-8 P.M at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E- Tremonton) and prior to the service at the church from 11-11:45 A.M. Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed below.
