Faye Leishman Orr (80) was reunited with her husband Larry J. Orr on July 5, 2018.
Faye was born on March 1, 1938 in Logan, Utah. Her parents were LeRoy and Gretta (Maughan) Leishman.
In her youth, Faye played softball. As a teenager, and many years after, she pitched for teams of the Wellsville First Ward and Garland Second Ward. Her teams won many trophies. Faye also enjoyed helping her mother can foods and make Christmas candies.
Faye and Larry were married June 22, 1962 and moved to Garland, Utah. They spent every bit of their free time outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, and riding 3-wheelers. They enjoyed taking their daughter Patty to Yellowstone and exploring the mountains of Idaho.
Faye was an avid seamstress and quilter. She started her sewing career at Mode O Day. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, beading, and working with plastic canvas. Almost everyone who visited her house ended up leaving with a little something. Faye would hand stitch quilts and bindings for people in her community. She was always doing something with a needle and thread.
Faye enjoyed telling her grandchildren Cindy, Sam, and Roger stories about all the family members and who was related to who and how. She knew all of the genealogy by heart.
Faye was a very loving and kind person. She would help anyone she could. She was very determined and could be quite stubborn when her mind was made up.
We will miss our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend!
The family would like to give special thanks to: Ladeen, Carla, Bill and Linda, Joyce and Debbie, J.R., Bonnie, Bear River Valley Care Center Staff, Rocky Mountain Hospice, Meals on Wheel, and Rudd Funeral Home.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Leroy and Gretta Leishman; and brothers, Homer and Lavell.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Faye Leishman Walker (Doug); granddaughters, Cindy Lea (Scott) Leatham, Samantha Jo (Tyson) Weaver; grandson, Roger Kyle (Tasha) Greenhalgh; sister, Joyce (Cecil) Payne; cousin, Paul Maughan; 8 great-grandchildren, Brock, Kyle, Chad, Harlea, Kameren, Kylea, Landon, and Carlee; numerous nieces and nephews, helpful friends and neighbors.
