Our cherished Frances Inez (Potts) Moore quietly passed away on September 9, 2017 surrounded by members of her loving family on both sides of the veil.
Frances was born on July 6, 1935 in Lehi, Utah to her goodly parents, Harold and LaDelle Potts. On December 31, 1953m she married Larry Moore. Three years later they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. She faithfully followed Larry, as he pursued a career in Air Force aviation, that took them from Africa to Hawaii. Together they had five children, Jim (Cindy), Jill (Blake), Janice (Steve), Jay (Marjorie), and Jeff (friend, Pamela). As Larry was away defending our country in two wars, Frances was ever the valiant defender of her home. Her children (5), grandchildren (16), great grandchildren (39), and great great grandchild absolutely adore her.
France’s life embodied the Savior’s admonition to love and serve one another, without expecting anything in return. No one entered her home without being physically fed and spiritually uplifted. To every burden laden individual, she was their champion and benefactor.
She had a deep abiding love for our Savior and His gospel. She served for over 30 years in the extraction and indexing program. She was an expert in the Old English language. Never wanting attention, she served as a faithful visiting teacher up until the last week of her life. A life worn out in service indeed.
Frances is survived by her five children, 16 grandchildren (Clay Christensen passed away in February), and 39 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also, two sisters, Dorothy Henroid and Donna Goble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents, brother, Van Potts, sisters, JoAnn Williams and Ila Nelson.
