BOTHWELL- Frank Henry Knell, 87, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on May 27, 2015. He was born on March 17, 1928 in Sarcoxie, MO to Mary Opal Siler and Edward Knell. Frank attended and graduated from High School in Golden City, MO.
He married Betty June Cahill on Nov. 1, 1947. He has lived in Carthage, MO and Elwood, Tremonton and St. George, UT.
Frank was always a hard worker and had many jobs throughout his life; he was a farmer, truck driver, deputy sheriff, a guard at Thiokol, bridge inspector and security guard. Daddy enjoyed being on the farm, helping other farmers, camping, hunting, fishing and flowers. His real passion was spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving a mission in St George, UT. He was also a member of the Sheriff’s Association.
He is survived by his children, Gaylon (Lynn) Knell, Linda (David) Anderson, Becky (Gene) Backerman, Scott (David) Knell, LaNae (Al) Boatright; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Fred Knell & Wendell Knell. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Emma Jean and Deloris.
Funeral services for Frank will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton) with a viewing prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 pm. Interment in the Elwood Cemetery.
