Garth Tolboe

Bear River City -Garth Amos Tolboe, 85, died on December 6, 2008 at Brigham City Community Hospital after a short illness. Garth was born March 16, 1923 in Redmond, Utah. He married Beulah Petersen August 10, 1946 in Redmond, Utah. He lived in Redmond, Moab, and Tremonton before moving to Bear River City. He retired from Thiokol in 1986 after 27 years employment. He loved to fish, hunt, horses, and mostly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his children Anna Dee Tolboe of Salt Lake City, Paula Lamb (Jed) of West Fielding, Gay Lynn Smith (DeOrr) of Brigham City, Rodney Tolboe of Layton, Doug Tolboe (Jackie) of Ogden, and Scott Tolboe (Candice) of Thatcher. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Beulah, his son Todd, his grandson Curtly Tolboe, and great-grandson Kai Smith. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10 at 1:00 pm at the Bear River Ward Chapel 5870 North 4700 West. Friends may call at the Bear River City Chapel Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm or Wednesday from 11:30am-12:40pm. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetary.
