Riverside, UT – Gayle Cornwall Nielson, 63 passed away peacefully at her home Sunday April 10, 2011, surrounded by her family. With courage and patience she endured the disease Amyloidosis for 15 years. She was born December 14, 1947 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of C.M. “Red” Cornwall and Joyce Capener Cornwall. She married Burke F. Nielson October 12, 1967. They were sealed June 4, 1970 in the Logan LDS Temple. Our dear wife, mother, and grandmother was a very talented, hardworking, and loving person. She loved and served her husband, children, and grandchildren. She served in many church callings, fulfilling each with love and dedication. She had a great testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was the single most important thing in her life. She had many hobbies, but gardening brought her the greatest joy. We will forever be grateful for her love, testimony, and example. Surviving are her husband and following daughters and son: Niki (Steve) Castagno, Patty (Dallas) Butler, Matt Nielson, Marcy (Russell) Payne, Jamie (Bodee) Udy; also 11 grandchildren, 5 sisters, and 3 brothers: Diane Coburn, Nancy Magoon, Susan Robbins, Toni Rogers, Dawn Baird, Gene Cornwall, James Cornwall, and Rusty Cornwall. She was preceded in death by her mother. A viewing will be held, Thursday April 14, 2011 form 6-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday April 15, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All services will be held at the Belmont Ward Church House, 16025 North 5200 West in Riverside with Bishop Neil Capener officiating. Interment in the Riverside Cemetery.
