Gordon Larson

Gordon P. Larson died 26 November 2013. He was born 24 May 1923 in East Garland, UT to Gustave Larson and Edna Owanda Peterson. He was raised and educated in Garland, UT graduating from Bear River High School and attended Weber College.
He worked for Rudy Miller for 7 years delivering gas and later worked for Fronk Chevrolet for 37 years. He was called to serve in the Army during the Korean War (1950- 1951), where he received the Bronze Star Medal.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Martha Maie Adams 20 August 1955. That marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised and educated 4 children.
He loved golfing and for his 90th birthday he went golfing with his Son-in-law and grandson. He died doing what he loved most, going for a ride to see the scenery. His favorite ride was through Logan Canyon. His dry sense of humor will be missed greatly.
He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Maie Larson, parents Gustave & Edna Larson and sisters Dorothy Smith & Evelyn Volker.
Gordon is survived by his children: Taunya Larson, Salt Lake City, UT; Todd (Elise) Larson, Meridian, ID; Morrie (Cheryl) Larson, Tremonton, UT and Mary Jo (Steve) Jensen, Brigham City, UT. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sister Betty Wilson.
Funeral services for Gordon will be held on Monday December 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tremonton Stake Center (660 N. 300 E.). Viewings will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.) and at the church previous to the funeral from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
