Harvey Wood

Harvey R. Wood, 82, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the BeeHive Homes in Perry Utah. Harvey was born September 20, 1930 in Fielding, Utah a son of Ross and Cleo Farnsworth Wood. He attended school at Fielding Elementary and Bear River High, graduating in 1948. On June 14, 1950 he married his sweetheart, Iris Lee Hess in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a farmer, a carpenter, a custodian at Fielding Elementary and drove a school bus for 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He attended every ball game he possibly could. Other hobbies that he enjoyed was building and remodeling homes. In his later years he spent enjoyable time building their cabin in Malad, Idaho. He was an active member of the LDS church. He served in the presidency of the YMMIA, elders Quorum, and High Priest group. He enjoyed officiating with his wife in the Logan LDS Temple for 6 years. Surviving are his wife, his children Lloyd & Tam Wood, Jeffrey & Julie Wood, Dixie Wood, Terry Wood, and Cindy Jensen. Two sisters, Carla (Jay) Risenmay and DeeAnn & the late Norman Rudd. Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother DeVerI, and son Douglas, son-in-law Jeff Jensen, two great grandsons, Nixon Major and Justin Hupp. Our family would like to thank BeeHive Homes staff for their wonderful care and kindness and Access Hospice for their constant, tender care. The funeral services will be held Friday November 16, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 West 15600 North Fielding UT). A viewing will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 from 5 to 7 P.M. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Fielding Stake Center. Interment will be in the Fielding Cemetery.
