Jacqueline Perkes Carter passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2024, at the age of 57 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born August 18, 1966, in Logan, Utah to Dennis Perkes & Liz Hale Perkes.
Jackie lived in Cache Valley, Utah until the age of six when her family moved to Malta, Idaho. She resided there until 8th grade when her family moved to Bothwell, Utah. In her teenage years she enjoyed dancing and showing pigs. Her mom would call her the “Golden Child.” She was sweet, quiet, and shy. She loved being with her family growing up and loved the outdoors. She loved sunflowers and animals.
She lived in Bothwell, Utah until she married her high school sweetheart, Dennis J Carter at the age of 18. They made their home in Stone, Idaho on his family farm. This is where they welcomed their two sons Cody Dennis Carter & Riker Jake Carter.
Jackie was always on the football sidelines or in the stands at rodeos cheering on her sons. She helped maintain the family farm alongside Dennis and her boys. Jackie was the hardest working woman with many years at La-Z-Boy and Mollie’s Café. She was faced with the hardship of becoming an exceptional care giver to her husband, Dennis, when he became ill in 2005. She continued raising and supporting her sons from 2005 until his passing in 2010.
In 2011 she became the owner of Mollie’s Café in Snowville, Utah. Jackie took pride in the preparation of her delicious food and made sure all her patrons left full and satisfied. From her homemade rolls to hot chili and making friends with every coffee drinker who stopped in.
Jackie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held a calling as the Relief Society Secretary.
Her greatest joy was her four grandsons Quade, Rasp, Haynks, and Rawley, who she loved so much. In 2013, when her grandson Rasp experienced kidney failure due to HUS, she chose to become an organ donor. With her passing, she was able to give the gift of life to several people.
She is survived by her sons Cody (Tresie) and Riker (Nicole) of Stone, Idaho; mother & stepdad Liz & Leon Payne of Bothwell, Utah; grandsons Quade, Rasp, Haynks, and Rawley Carter; siblings Tammy (Base) Ward of Almo, Idaho, Patty Booth of Bothwell, Utah, Becky (Lyle) Riggs of Wellsville, Utah, Dusty (Shilo) of Richfield, Utah, Stephanie (Vince) Lee of Oregon; step brother Doug (Kat) Payne of Bothwell, Utah; stepsisters Paula Payne & Peggy (John) Nelson of Tremonton, Utah; and many nieces, nephews and friends who she adored, in return they loved her as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Carter; father Dennis Perkes; brother Kelly Perkes; brother-in-law Gary Booth; father and mother-in-law Wayne Carter & Linda Kindblade.
