There was no place he'd rather be than with his family in the mountains. He looked forward to every hunting and camping season with his cousin (brother) Mike. He also looked forward to every NFL Sunday to watch football with is brother-in-law Trent (as long as the Steelers would win and the Raiders would lose). He was an amazing husband, an incredible father, brother, uncle, son and friend. He brought joy to everyone who crossed his path. He is survived by his wife Tonya, 3 children, Kylee, Shelby, Hunter and his dog Koda; brothers Mateo (Doug) and Erik (Brittany); mother Shirley and grandmother Sadie Griego; first wife Staci Peterson. And so many others who loved him. Preceded in death by his father Jim F. Chavez and dog,Tasha. Celebration of his life will be held Thursday, October 28th at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S. I would like to personally thank Mike and Jen for everything you did up there. You are truly my heroes. “Honey, You were my best friend, my rock, my world, my everything. I can't imagine my life without you but I know I have to be strong for our boy. I promise you I will. You will forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again, your short and sweet.”
