Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend Janice Diane Zoellner passed away peacefully Monday September 29th after a courageous battle with COPD. She was born in Flint, Michigan on May 2, 1948 to Jack Decuypere and Esther Orr.
Jan had a love of many things .She loved to bowl in her young years and was on a traveling team. She loved to crochet and made many blankets for her grandchildren. She loved to attend anything her grandkids were involved in while her health permitted. Jan graduated from Durand Michigan in 1966.
She married James Robert Shepard in 1969. She was widowed from him Dec. 31, 1971. She later married Bernard Zoellner In 1976. They moved from Michigan to Preston Idaho in 1976, they later divorced. She moved to Texas for several years, but as her heath was declining she decided to move to Tremonton, Utah where she could be closer to her children and grandchildren. While here she enjoyed lunches and her friends from the senior center and spending what time she could with her family.
She had three children. James Robert Shepard Jr. (Wendy), Shelli Roholt (Kody), and Bernie Zoellner who preceded her in death. She has 10 grandchildren Teradee Echols (Trent), Bryce Roholt (Kaylee), Chelsea Roholt, Tayler Allen (David), Marley Shepard, James Shepard, Paige Roholt, Peri Shepard, Wyatt Roholt, Kadin Hollingsworth. Austin (Macey, Evie) Hinckley, Allie Hinckley, Gracie Hinckley. She also has four great grandkids Nathan Echols, Hayden Echols, Austin Echols, and Stratton Roholt.
Janice is also survived by her mother, Esther Decuypere; brother, James (Shirley) Decuypere; and 3 sisters, Jackie Sada, Jeanne Decuypere, Jeri (Larry) McCall.
Although she will be missed dearly by her family and friends we know she is now breathing deeply and having a great reunion with loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Shepard, her father Jack Decuypere, and her son Bernie Zoellner.
Funeral Services for Janice will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. –Tremonton) with a viewing prior to the service from 12:30-1:30.
