Jared Loftiss

April 24, 1979 — September 24, 2014

On September 24, 2014 our loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend was tragically taken from us at the U of U Burn Center in Salt Lake City, Utah due to injuries sustained in an accident at work. He left this mortal existence surrounded by his loving family.
Jared Adam Loftiss was born April 24, 1979 to Richard and Susie (Dutton) Loftiss in Granger, Utah. Jared was a very caring person always willing to go the extra mile to help someone out no matter who they were. He treated everyone like family including his coworkers.
Jared met his wife and eternal companion Montanaela (Wilson) Loftiss while waiting in line at a haunted house with friends. Having never met before he was smitten at first sight. They were sealed for time and all eternity on June 6, 2004 in the Logan LDS Temple. Jared fit right in with his wife’s family who never considered him an in-law, he was their brother.
Jared always loved being outdoors. He was an avid fisherman from when he was a young boy. Jared enjoyed taking his boys with him any chance he got. Some of their fondest memories as a family are of their spontaneous road trips that took them all over the United States. Many of those trips were to visit family. He was a great cook, and took pleasure in barbequing for his family and friends. Jared’s most recent enjoyment was remodeling the family home with his boys. Jared was an amazing man who treated his wife like a queen, a true gentleman. She never had to worry about anything; he took great care of her and their boys. Jared instilled this same quality in his boys. He worked hard to provide for his family and took great pride in his work. He loved his job and the wonderful crew he was able to work and associate with over the years.
Jared is survived by his beautiful wife, Montanaela. Their four sons, Dutch Adam, Irish Delmer, German Howard, Tuscan Frank Loftiss, and their bundle of joy due to arrive in May 2015, all of Big Piney, WY; his parents Richard and Susie; His two brothers: Wesley (Virginia) Loftiss; Seth Loftiss; three sisters: RaNon (Franco) Herrera; LaShelle (Carlos) Rangel; Chantelle (Edgar) Quispe; mother in law Betty (Broadhead) Wilson; paternal grandparents Howard and Earline Loftiss; grandmother in law Ione MacBass. As well as many extended family members including his nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own kids.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Tulip Earline Loftiss; his maternal grandparents Frank and Clara Dutton; his father in law Delmer Lee Wilson Jr. and his two brothers in laws Dee Lorenzo Wilson, and Dario Layne Wilson.
The family would like to thank the Emergency Responders, Life Flight Crew, and the teams of Doctors and Nurses at South Lincoln Medical Center, and the U of U Burn Center for their care of Jared during his ordeal. Accounts have been set up for his wife and children to help cover unforeseen expenses at any TransWest Credit Union under Jared’s name or by calling 801-487-1692 and on www.gofundme.com under the title Help Montanaela Loftiss, or you can donate to Rudd Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 11 am in the Belmont Ward LDS Church at 16925 N. 5200 W. Riverside, UT. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm and prior to the service from 9:00 am-10:30 am at the same location.
