Jean (Higley) Bushman

Jean Higley Bushman, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on April 15, 2025. She was born October 16,1949, in American Fork, Utah, to Walter and Gwen Anderson Higley. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary and Elsie.

Jean met Steve Bushman at Tech-trade in Spanish Fork, Utah, at a dance, and after a short courtship they were married on May 23, 1980, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three children.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; Daughters Holly (Dennis) Russell, Helena, MT; Shelly Bushman, Plymouth, UT; and son Ryan (Mary) Bushman, Omaha, NE. Grandchildren Eli, George, Hannah, and Levi.

She grew up in Alpine, UT and spent her married life in Lehi, UT, Cheyenne, WY, and Plymouth, UT. She loved gardening, preserving food, and making sure her family was well fed. Jean loved all types of music, especially spiritual. She was an avid painter and enjoyed sewing.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11 A.M. at the Plymouth Ward church (16925 N 5200 W- Garland). Viewings will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 6-8 P.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton) and prior to the service at the church from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Interment will follow the services in the Plymouth Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
