JoAnn Wehner

JoAnn Richardson Wehner passed away April 14, 2015 peacefully at her home in Garland, Utah surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Roy Oscar Richardson and Marguerite Butler on February 27, 1934 in Plain City, Utah. She married Wayne Kimber, they had two children, Debra Jo and Kevin Wayne and were later divorced. Mom married our Dad, James Roy Wehner on March 13, 1958 in Idaho Falls, Idaho he passed away in 1977. 15 years later she married Dee M. Firth on December 16, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mom lived in several states and settled back in Utah in 1976. She graduated from Bear River High School and attended college at Utah State University.

She was a full time Mother and home maker that loved to cook, sew, read and garden. Mom also enjoyed going to her husband, Dee’s, farm in Tremonton before he passed away. Mom was a loving and generous woman who would do anything for anyone. She adored her family.

She was a member of the LDS Church. When Mom was married to her second husband, Jim, a submarine naval officer, she greatly enjoyed the Naval Wives Club. Being a Naval wife meant a lot of Travel and living in wonderful places such as Hawaii, Florida and California, to name a few. Mom was an independent, elegant, feisty and beautiful woman who took great pride and comfort in caring for her home and family.

She is survived by her daughter: Debra Jo Kimber Russell, Watson Russell, Hillsboro, OR; Kevin Russell – Amy Galloway And their three daughters, Troutsdale, OR; Bryan Russell, Hillsboro, OR. Son: Kevin Wayne Kimber, St George, UT; Jannica and Eric Law, Clinton, UT; Ryan Kimber, South Ogden, UT; Kami Jorgenson, South Ogden, UT, plus 10 great grandchildren. Daughter: Victoria Ann Wehner Hoggan, Ogden, UT, Granddaughter Alexus Victoria Hoggan, Ogden, UT. Daughter: Janice Marie Wehner Powell, Richard Lee Powell, Keswick, VA; Granddaughter Haley Marie Connor and her son Owen Lee, Keswick, VA. Mom is also survived by three siblings Norma Jean (Rodney) Hansen, Wayne (Peggy) Richardson and Doug (Sharla) Richardson.

Mom is preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite Butler RIchardson and Oscar Richardson; her second husband, James Roy Wehner; her third husband, Dee M. Firth; her brothers, Dennis Richardson and Robert Armond Richardson.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rudd Funeral Home (1234 S. Main - Garland) with a family viewing from 9-9:45 a.m. followed by a public viewing prior to the services from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Garland Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Bear River Valley Hospital, Dr. Chad Merrell, Dr. Rodney Merrell, Eileen Wood of HCNU Hospice Care of Northern Utah and her staff and Ken and Jan Firth.
