Joyce Hunsaker Miller, 85, passed away in Logan, UT on March 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 6, 1929 in Tremonton, UT to Viola Eliason and Horace N. Hunsaker. She was raised in Honeyville, UT.
She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1948, she then attended Utah State University briefly before getting married. Joyce married Don L. Miller in the Logan LDS Temple on May 24, 1949. Together they have lived in Toston, MT; Eden, ID; and most recently Garland, UT
Joyce enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, knitting, horseback riding and temple work. She was an excellent cook and nothing made her happier than spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice; she was a part of a trio in High School and a member of a singing group in Montana. She performed at many funerals and special events. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including Primary and Relief Society Presidents.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Don L. Miller; sister, Gwen Haws; brother, Bryon Hunsaker; children, Jema (Val) Morley, So. Jordan, UT, Scott (Mary) Miller, Garland, UT, Cathy (Al) Erickson, Tacoma, WA, Garth (Ruth) Miller, Sugar City, ID, Gay (Matti) Julkunen, Lacy, WA, Paul (Susan) Miller, West Haven, UT; 30 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Desse Hunsaker, Bud Hunsaker; and a great-grandson, Caleb Steven Hart.
Funeral Services for Joyce will be Friday, April 3, at 12:00 Noon at the Belmont LDS Chapel (16925 N. 5200 W., Riverside, UT) with a viewing prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
