K. Bown

Bothwell, UT – K. Donnell Bown, 78, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. He was born in Manti, UT April 12, 1932 to Robert B. and Clara Vilate Larsen Bown. He was raised in Manti, UT. He was a member of the LDS Church. He graduated from Manti High School and Snow College. He served in the National Guard in the Korean War. He married DeLora Marble June 8, 1956 in the Manti Temple. Three children joined their family. Donnell worked at Thiokol for 34 years. He served in various church callings and as a ward clerk under three bishoprics. He served as an officiator in the Logan Temple for 9 ½ years. He loved sports, hunting, and fishing and had many stories to tell about his adventures. He is survived by his sweet wife, DeLora; his three children: Jenna Kae (John) Whiting, Brigham City; David, Brigham City; Claire (Andrew) Jarvis, Logan; seven grandchildren; Andrea (Cade); Elise (Christopher), Jacob, Daniel, Alex, Tanner, and Hunter. They will all greatly miss him. He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert (Ruth) and Howard (Sharlotte). He was preceded in death by both of his parents and in-laws. The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Bothwell Ward for their love and kindness and to Primrose Hospice for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Bothwell Ward LDS Church, 10350 West 11600 North, Bothwell. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main, Garland and prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
