Kathie Clark

Portage- Kathie Melissa Nelson Clark passed away Friday May 25, 2012 at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Kathie was born December 16, 1942 to Mary Ashby & Jalmar C. Nelson. On September 8, 1967 she married John W. Clark. She grew up in Ogden UT, and then raised her family in Portage, UT. She was an Assembly Line Worker for Autoliv for many years, but her main job in life was raising her family. She was also a Co-Owner of The Beauty Salon & The Barber Shop in Garland, UT. Her hobbies in life were gardening, puzzles, games and (her favorite) playing with her grandkids. She was a member of the LDS Church and held callings as a primary teacher. Kathie is preceded in death by her parents Jalmar & Mary, her Husband John, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Kathie is survived by her Children, Stacey (Susan), Travis (Gayla), Burke (Heather) and Kevin, her brother Duke Nelson, Sisters, Jalene Prince, Linda Brakey and Joyce Nelson (Sister-in-law), 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral Service for Kathie will be held Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Portage LDS Chapel (8910 W. 25800 N.) at 11 am. Viewings will be held from 6-8 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, and at the Portage LDS Chapel from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral services.
