Kathleen Jenson

November 13, 1948 — August 25, 2010

Kathleen Hansen Jenson returned to her Heavenly Father August 25, 2010. She was born November 13, 1948 to James Warren and Idalene Waite Hansen. She was the oldest of three children. She was raised in a loving home where cousins were treated as siblings. Love and respect abounded in that home. This family environment taught her the skills that she used to teach her own family as well as in the classroom as a school teacher. Kathy graduated from Box Elder High School. She graduated from Utah State University in Secondary Education – English, and became the first girl from her family to graduate from College. When her youngest child began school, she earned her elementary teaching certificate and began teaching. She taught at Bear River Middle, Mountain View, Bunderson, and finally at Garland Elementary schools. She was loved and respected by students, teachers, and parents. She loved to read, and loved even more, teaching young students how to read. In her own life the joy of reading a good book was only surpassed by being around people she loved, especially her family and friends. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. During her time at USU she met and married Wayne Andrew Jenson. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they have 5 Children. Kathy truly loved her family and took great pride in their success. She has been active in her church, serving in the primary and Relief Society in many positions. She is survived by her husband Wayne, and their children: Eric (Vickie) Logan, Greg (Paula)SLC, Annette (Larry McDougal) Wellsville, Sara SLC, and Jonathan (Emily) SLC, Grandchildren Ryan, Malise, Aaron, Lia, Dallin, Chase, Joslyn, Taylor, James, Jenna, Brooke. Brothers Steven ( Janet) Kaysville, Michael (Liz) Brigham City. Brother/Sisters in law: Faye Jenson (Charles) Smithfield, Richard (Colleen) So.
