Kathy R Jensen

Kathy R Jensen, 72 of Tremonton Utah passed away Dec 13, 2022 of a broken heart after her husband passed less than a month ago.

She was born May 3rd, 1950 to Reva and Marion Roche of Corine Utah.

In her younger years she worked in the family sugar beet fields and helping with the farm animals.

Kathy attended Box Elder High School and graduated in 1968. After graduating she married Thomas Lee Mortensen and had one daughter, LaNae. They later divorced.

She worked at Champion Homes where she met her sweetheart Johnny Jensen, they married in Elko Nevada and were married 45 years until his passing in November 2022. From this marriage Kathy gained another daughter Jamie and together they welcomed their daughter Nicky into the family.

She worked at Carl and Dons and later worked at Lazy-Boy and cleaned houses until her retirement.

Kathy and Johnny loved spending time together and especially with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Johnny, her parents, a sister Jeannie, brother-in-law Darrell Wells, and mother-in-law Arlene Jensen.

She is survived by her daughters, LaNae (Mark) Hansen of Wellsville, Utah, Jamie (Mike) Judy of Mendon, Utah, Nicky (Dustin) Deschamps of Tremonton, Utah; grandchildren, Kylee, Baylee, Brayden, Bryson, Brinley, and Jaron; three great grandchildren, Macee, Colter, Krew; sister, Saundra Wells; brothers Leon (Gail) Roche and Eldon “Dutch” (Martha) Roche; brother-in-law, Tim Bickmore.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Noon with a viewing held prior from 10:30-11:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). Interment at the Corinne Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed below.
