Kenneth Max Baugh

March 30, 1951 – June 11, 2014

Honeyville- Kenneth Max Baugh passed away peacefully, Wednesday June 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his family following a four year battle with cancer.

Ken was born March 30, 1951 in Brigham City, UT to J. Max and Leah Grant Baugh.
He was reared in Harper Ward on the family farm. Ken would often say there was no better place to raise a family than on a farm.

He attended Lincoln and Honeyville elementary schools and graduated from Box Elder High in 1969. He then obtained a degree in Range Management from Utah State University and worked for the Bureau of Land Management for a short time before returning to work with his father on the farm raising registered Angus cattle and farming the land. Ken served in the National Guard for three years.

On February 20, 1981 he married his eternal companion Carol Christensen in the Logan LDS temple. They had two children.

He became a substitute Rural Letter Carrier and later a full time carrier for the US Postal Service where he developed life long friends. He retired from the USPS in 2008.

Ken had a love of nature; he enjoyed hiking and identifying flora and fauna. He looked forward to hunting and fishing seasons. The greatest joy came from spending time with his family. How he adored his two grandchildren Jaxon and Makenna who always brought a smile to his face. He wished he could have been a Pa Pa that was more actively involved with them.

He found great comfort in turning over the majority of running the farm ground to his special nephew Ryan Adams and enjoyed being updated on how things were going and growing on a daily basis. Ken has many special friends and neighbors that were close to him in which he enjoyed visits from.

In high school he was involved in FFA. He was a Member of the Utah Angus and Rural Letter Carrier Associations. As a member of the LDS church he served in many callings including three bishoprics.

Ken is survived by his wife of 33 years, two children, son Landon Max (Jennifer) Baugh of Providence, daughter Lindsay (Justin) Barfuss of Harper Ward and his two grandchildren Jaxon Max and Makenna Baugh.
