LaRae Coombs

LaRae Millard Kendall Coombs peacefully passed away March 28, 2012 in Logan, UT. LaRae was born March 26, 1928 in Cokeville, WY to William Edwin and Ethel Julian Millard Kendall, five minutes after her twin, LaRue. She married Dale Webb Coombs on May 25, 1956 in the Logan, UT Temple. She lived in Preston, ID where she graduated Preston High School. After meeting Dad, they settled in East Garland, UT. She was a member of the LDS Church which she served a mission to the North Central States, and has served in many callings including Relief Society President. She loved being a Nursery Leader. She was a faithful Visiting Teacher. Many new mothers and new move-ins to East Garland received a loaf of warm bread and a pot of warm soup. LaRae was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved to crochet and knit and gave many afghans away. LaRae is survived by her children: Gayla Coombs; Shelley, ID, Clair Dale (Danita) Coombs; Elwood, UT, Reatha (Drew) Hansen; Trenton, UT, Kevin (Yvonne) Coombs; East Garland, UT ; Curtis (Christine) Coombs; Pleasant Grove, UT, Stephanie (Mark) Bowen; Clark, NJ, Michael (Fawn) Coombs; Garland, UT, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, Siblings: Grace (Fred-deceased) Veibell, Conna (Myrl) Klippert, Donna (Owen) Sharp and her twin sister LaRue (Richard) Hunt. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Leland Kendall and Carroll Kendall, sister Edna, husband, and great-granddaughter-Adison Chelsey Jensen. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kami Haslam, Logan Nursing & Rehab and the kind sisters of the East Garland Ward for their tender care given to our mother when we weren’t able to be around. Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Fielding LDS Stake Center located at 4375 W 15600 N. Viewings will be held from 6-8pm Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 N 100 E in Tremonton, UT, and from 9:30-10:30 at the Stake Center preceding the Funeral. Interment will be at the Fielding Cemetery.
