LaRee Allen

September 20, 1940 — May 16, 2015

LaRee Neeley Allen, 74, passed away on May 16, 2015 in Herriman, Utah.  She was born on September 20, 1940 in Blackfoot, Idaho.  She is the daughter of Paul and Clara Neeley.  She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduating from West High School and LDS Seminary.

She married Darwin Roland Allen on June 5, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They were blessed with six children:  David, Gary, Colleen, Gail, Curtis and Todd.

LaRee was a full time homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and temple work.  She enjoyed serving others in her community.  She volunteered at her local hospital, the county fair and served as a 4-H leader.  She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.  LaRee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She most recently enjoyed her call to serve in the Brigham City Temple.

LaRee is survived by her sister, Norma Price; brothers, Wayne Neeley and Kenneth Neeley; children, Colleen (Brent) Shaffer, Gail (Matthew) Robinson, Curtis Allen, and Todd (Aileen) Allen; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sons, David and Gary.

Funeral services for LaRee will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon.  Viewings will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and prior to the funeral from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. All services will be held at the Tremonton 3rd Ward Chapel (9590 N. 6800 W. Tremonton, Utah). Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Bothwell, Utah. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Intermountain Medical Center, Intermountain Homecare and Hospice and the members of the Tremonton 3rd Ward.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to the LDS Church Temple Building Fund.
