LaReeda Ravsten

Tremonton- Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother LaReeda Campbell Ravsten returned to her Heavenly Fathers arms from her home and surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2013. She began her journey on earth on April 29, 1932 in Weston, Idaho and was the oldest child of Reed and Lila Campbell. She was a big sister to Rheo, Theo, Leola and Fred. After her mother Lila passed away and her father remarried Lucille Campbell she became a sister to Dennis and Ron Campbell. She met her sweetheart Scott A. Ravsten on a blind date where they attended a dance. They were married in Preston, Idaho on July 6, 1949. Through their 63 years of marriage they were blessed with seven children. They made their home and raised their family in Smithfield, Utah, Ogden, Utah, Yakima, Washington and Tremonton, Utah. They were sealed for all time and eternity in the Logan LDS Temple on July 6, 2001. LaReeda’s greatest talent was the love, compassion and service she showed to her family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering and many other hobbies, which she taught to many of her children & grandchildren. Her most amazing talent is cooking and baking. Anyone who has tried to make her chicken noodle soup, rolls or peanut brittle have found they cannot exactly duplicate it, because it came from her loving heart and hands. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving others in many callings including Compassionate Service Leader, Relief Society Teacher, Librarian and Relief Society Supervisor. Her favorite calling was being a Primary Teacher with her sweetheart Scott. She loved to tell others of the progress and growth of the many Primary Children they taught. She was very proud of them all. She is survived by her husband Scott A. Ravsten, Children Kurtis S.(Wendy) Ravsten, Kelly A.(Avis) Ravsten, Kevin J. Ravsten, Susan (Kent) Miller, Shelly (Edward) Tarbet and Shawna (Troy) Harris. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred, daughter Shirley Ann Doutre and grandson Clifford Reed Doutre. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Family and friends may call on Sunday February 3, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 S. Tremont St.) and from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. on Monday February 4, 2013. Funeral Services will start at 12:00 Noon on Monday February 4, at the Tremonton South Stake Center. Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. Gratefulness to friend’s, neighbors and church members for the love and kindness shown to her and her family throughout her passing.
