Larry Anderson

Tremonton - Larry LaRoy Anderson, 82, passed away on December 10, 2014 at the Bear River Valley Care Center.

He was born on May 6, 1932 in Bothwell, UT to Hannah Ethelyn Summers & Lewis Eli Andersen. Larry grew up in Bothwell and attended Bear River High School. 1n 1951 he joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War in Japan. He married Vayrene Hunsaker on June 26, 1959. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church.

During his life Larry worked at the Conoco station at the Crossroads, as a barber and as a Production Planner at Thiokol for 24 years. Larry also had an enduring love of horses, and spent many years training and riding them. He spent many happy hours riding and roping with his children, friends and later with his grandchildren. Larry also served as a member of the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Posse. Larry was always willing to share his talents with others, and volunteered to help many ranchers around the valley move their cattle. After his retirement, he spent much of his time attending concerts, ball games and showing sheep with his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife Vayrene, his children Todd (Danae) Anderson & Cindy (Randall) Payne. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and his three brothers DeVerl Anderson, Glade (Donna) Anderson and Blaine (LaVerl) Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kim.

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Monday December 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 South Tremont St.). Viewings will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the funeral from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Both viewings will be held at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 South Tremont St.). Interment will take place in the Bear River City Cemetery.
