Benson
Larry L. Munk passed away at home with his family and dog Annie by his side after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Larry was born on June 7, 1952 to Lionel Jr. and Helen W. Munk in Logan, UT. He married Nancy Hansen Munk on May 9, 1974. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on April 10, 1981. Together they were blessed with five children.
He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was kind and gentle with unlimited patience. He was soft spoken, but had a big laugh. He worked extremely hard and needed to stay busy. He worked hard, and played hard, right up until his sickness, which made that no longer possible. He taught his children to love the outdoors. He loved hunting, horseback riding, fishing, camping and skiing.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his favorite calling was working and playing with the Young Men.
Larry is survived by his wife Nancy of Benson, UT. and his daughters: Erin (Carson) King, Haylee (Chris) Brown, Jessica (Kevin) Burgi and Emily (Steve) Wright, and his faithful companion Annie. As well as five grandchildren with one on the way, his mother Helen and sisters Susan Struve, Connie Allsop, Jill Olsen and his in-laws Dale and Sylvia Hansen, as well as many brothers and sisters in laws.
He is preceded in death by his father Lionel Jr. and son Colby, and brother in-law Ron Hansen.
The family would like to express thanks to the staff of CNS Hospice for taking such good care of him. Special thanks to Julie, Jared, Curtis, Braden, Nic, and Schon for keeping him comfortable and helping the family.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday July 27, 2013 at the Benson LDS Church (3432 N. 3000 W. Benson, UT). A viewing will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
