LaRue Knudsen

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
LaRue was born October 9, 1917, in Storrs, Utah to Samuel Joseph Faddis and Catherine Clark of Provo, UT. She married Moyle L. Knudsen on October 11, 1937 in Malad, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on October 11, 1979. To this marriage were born four children, Erma “Kay”, Connie Paige, Leslie Moyle & Kevin Brent.
LaRue was a homemaker and a good one. No one ever left her house hungry.
She has lived in Provo, UT, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, Covina, CA, Portage, UT and St. George, UT.
While living in So. California she was a PTA President, member of the Covina Women’s Club and Covina Golf Club. She was also a Hospital Volunteer (Pink Ladies) in Covina, CA and St. George, UT.
She loved to cook and bake. She loved dancing, camping and fishing with Dad. She also loved golfing with friends.
LaRue was a active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School teacher and a Primary teacher for many years. She loved all children.
LaRue was the last member of her family and is survived by her children, 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
A viewing was held prior to the funeral services on Saturday May 25, 2013 at the Fielding Stake Center. Burial was in the Portage, UT Cemetery.
LaRue spent her last eight years at the BRVCC. We wish to thank them for all of the loving care given to our special Mom.
