Laura "Skippy" Clark On Friday, July 15, Laura "Skippy" Clark, 70, of Garland passed away peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born May 30, 1941 in Hyattsville, MD to George & Mildred Helff, she graduated from Northwestern HS. On February 3, 1961 she married her sweetheart, Clyde Clark. This year they celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Skippy was an amazing mother & grandmother. She enjoyed camping, shopping & spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Clyde of Garland, daughters Laura (Mike) Hall Frederick, MD, Kelly (Frank) Muller, Roy, UT & son Matthew Thurmont, MD. Skippy is also survived by eight grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her son Clyde "Lee" Clark in 1988. As a family, we give special thanks to Inspiration Hospice, especially Jodi, Amy, Chris & Mike for the wonderful care they provided. A viewing will be held Monday July 18, 2011 at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main Garland, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held Tuesday July 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Garland Cemetery, 13525 North 6000 West Garland. An additional viewing will be held previous to the graveside service from 9:30 to 10:30 at Rudd Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at ruddfuneralhome.com.
