It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lauren Camille Garcia, a precious daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left this world to find peace in the next life. She passed November 30, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 24.
Lauren was born on December 4, 2000, in Ithaca, New York where she lived until she was 3 years old. In 2004 she moved with her family to Albany, Oregon for one brief year then moved with them to San Diego, California for the next ten years. She then spent another brief year in Sacramento, California until the family moved to Bothwell, Utah in 2015. Her last 2 years were spent living in Salt Lake City, Utah with her sister and friends while attending college.
Lauren is deeply mourned by her parents, Cathy and Benjamin Garcia, who adored her beyond measure, and by her siblings: Makayla, Gabriel, Izaak, and Jonathan. Each of them will hold Lauren’s memory close to their hearts. Lauren was an extremely talented writer and artist with unique creativity. She had an amazing sense of humor and a big caring heart.
Lauren was blessed to be the mother of a beautiful daughter. She learned to love deeper as she sacrificed time and energy to care for her child Izabelle. As a mother, Lauren wanted the very best for her daughter who now carries many of the same unique attributes and lives as a joyful reminder of who her mother was.
Lauren was a precious gift to her family and those who knew her. Lauren made the world a better place by helping those in need and making others smile and laugh. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the lives she touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Lauren’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11 A.M. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9-10:30 A.M.
