Lee LaRall Thompson passed away on September 24, 2015 at his home in Thatcher, Utah. He was born on July 7, 1929 in Clarkston, Utah to William Lee Thompson and Leila Myler.
Lee married Larene Didericksen on February 4, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple. He lived in Clarkston, Garland, Mendon and Thatcher, Utah. Lee attended Garland Elementary, Bear River High School and Utah State University. He worked at Thiokol in engineering for 33 years and retired in 1990.
He joined the National Guard at 16 and was a part of the Field artillery, 62nd automatic weapon battalion, in Germany at the Taylor Barracks. Lee served on the Bear River Water Conservancy District from November 1993 until June 2014.
Lee served an LDS mission to New Zealand. He also served in the bishopric, High Priest Quorum, 70 in the stake and a Stake mission.
He is survived by his wife Larene Thompson; Daughter, LeAnn Kirby and Son-in-law, Jeff Kirby; Son, Hollis Thompson and Daughter-in-law Heidi Thompson; Son, Nolan Thompson and daughter-in-law, Connie Thompson; Grandkids, Kevin Kirby, Stacie Christensen, Shaylynn Thomspon, Jayden Thompson, Kolby Thompson, Karlie Thompson; Trent Thompson, Grace Thompson, Troyer Thompson and Greatgrandchild Taylee Kirby.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Clarkston, UT Cemetery (11000 N 8400 W).
