LenAnn Huff Nessen, 70, passed away on January 25, 2024 in Howell, Utah. She was born August 23, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Leonard Ray Huff and Karma Jean Francis. She married Val Dee Nessen on April 25, 1974 in the Ogden Utah temple.
She was born into a military family and lived in Texas, Japan, California, Brigham City, and Howell.
LenAnn enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and reading. She was always working on new sewing projects for her kids and grandkids. She loved her multiple first place ribbons from the fair and had a passion for feeding the whole crew. She loved Christmas and would light up giving each gift. She was easily embarrassed and would often go red faced. She loved to laugh and loved her family unconditionally. She spent her whole life caring for others. She never put her wants above the needs of anyone. She was selfless in every way and always saw the good.
These are memories from LenAnn’s grandchildren:
Grayson says what he loves most is that she would always help mom out no matter what.
Heber's favorite memory is going camping with grandma
Brydger's favorite thing is that Grandma would love to listen to him play the piano.
Parker- when she would go camping and she would be sitting in her chair cross stitching
Kadence- her unconditional love and kindness. I never felt judged around her
Nash- my favorite is when grandma would come over every Thursday and how Marley got so happy

One of my favorite memories of Grandma Nan is when we received the Noah’s Ark blanket that she made for Sunnie for Christmas, just before Sunnie was born! The blanket is incredibly beautiful and hand crafted by the sweetest grandma, with the cutest giggle.
I love her genuine concern for everyone around her, her protective and watchful eye when we would roughhouse, and most of all her beautiful soul. Along with my favorite memory, my favorite thing about Grandma Nan is how much she loved each of us. Always supporting ball games, providing us with hand crafted treasures, and an abundance of love. If the rest of the world was like Grandma Nan, we would find ourselves in heaven.
She always let us know that she was proud of us, that she thought we were so much better than we actually were, and just how special we were to her. She was and is the perfect grandma. Her kind spirit, gentle concern, and loving heart will be missed more than words will ever be able to adequately express. Grandma Nan is going straight to the top.

Grandmas smile every morning while we were camping.

Taking grandma to Heber last year for camping and all the dogs wanted to sit on her lap and Frankie sat on the middle console just leaning against her and I’d get mad at franks to move and grandma just would say she’s okay and just pat her to try and calm her nerves. It was an awesome car ride getting to know how grandpa Val and grandma started dating and how she grew up! Kinda silly but I did get a cute pic hahah

One of my most favorite memories of grandma is when she taught me how to cross stitch and when we fixed there shed and she told tyke to be careful and not fall off and tyke pretended to fall off and her comment was “oh my hell”.

When we had a sleepover at grandmas and she bought us a pizza!

When she took me and other granddaughters on a girls day and bought us all dresses. She is so sweet and she will forever be missed
Skyden - I loved most when grandma made cakes and desserts. She would bring them to every family party

A Memory I have with Grandma is when I was younger in about 5th grade at the time I was so into the Harry Potter books. I remember that a new movie was coming and I really wanted to go. Somehow we got some tickets to go see the movie earlier than the original date and I remember wanting to take Grandma on a date to the movie. I remember how excited I was and even bought a rose when she came over. We went to the Ogden movie theater and we gotta watch that movie together. I don’t remember a lot but I just remember how much fun I had and the love that I felt from sweet grandma. She might’ve not even liked the movie but she was just so happy to be there with me. The most selfless person I knew.
LenAnn is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Val, her mother Karma Huff, father-in-law Lyle Dee Nessen, seven siblings (six brothers and 1 sister), four children Jeremy (Jessica) Nessen, Jonathon (Kelli) Nessen, Janet Ann King, Ashleigh (Mike) Arnold, 16 grandkids and one great granddaughter.
