Lewis Showell

Lewis “Dale” Showell 1935-2012 Dale Showell, 76, passed from this life peacefully on April 15, 2012 with his loving wife Peggy by his side at their home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Dale was born in Fielding, Utah on April 29, 1935 to Arch Dean and Mary Cannon Showell. Dale was raised on the family ranch in Juniper, ID. Even until his passing he still referred to the ranch as “home” and always enjoyed many good memories from there. Dale completed a LDS Mission in the Western Canadian Provinces. Upon returning home Dale married his sweetheart Peggy Ann Theurer in the Logan LDS Temple on Jan 3, 1958. Dale was also a High Priest in the LDS Church. He was very proud of this accomplishment. Dale is survived by his wife Peggy of 54 years, Sons; Steven Dale (Connie), John Scott (Barbara), Brother; Dean Arch (Mable), Brother in law; Grant Bud (Bonnie) Theurer, Sister in Law; Sharon (Keith) Nilson, Three Grandchildren and Five Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister Mary Lou. A special thanks to Silverado Hospice and Amy who took care of dad. Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, UT). A Viewing will be held from 11:00 -12:30, prior to services. Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
