Tremonton— Lillian “Audrey” Nish Fredrickson Caretaker, Quilt maker, Pie baker, And Homemaker. What a wonderful life she lived for almost 94 years. Her life was full and blessed, as were the lives of all who knew her. On December 9, 2011, she was finally reunited with the love of her life, and her eternal companion, Joseph “Eddis” Fredrickson, as well as four of her five children: Sharon (Darwin) Snell, Dennis, Mike, and Janette (Kelly) Wise; and two grandsons: Curt and Scott Snell; in a joyous, heavenly reunion. It was a crisp January 16, 1918, in Park Valley, Utah, when Audrey came as a gift to her parents: William R. Nish and Mary A. Burton Nish. She was the third of eight children, with two brothers and five sisters, and they have all passed away except for Kenna Jacobsen, a younger sister. As she grew up, she learned the value of hard work, and developed her sense of being a natural caretaker. She often cared for her younger siblings, and later, her nieces and nephews, her own children, and grandchildren. Being a caretaker is a trait that she carried throughout her life, even up to her death. Audrey also developed a wonderful sense of humor, and a teasing nature. Even her great grandchildren were able to enjoy these things. She was a master quilter, with her quilts in high demand. In addition, she was an excellent pie maker and many enjoyed her pies. After she married, she lived in Tremonton, Utah, the rest of her life. Audrey was a member of the LDS church, was sealed in the Logan Temple, and served faithfully in many callings. For many, many years, she and Eddis served as custodians of their church and took exceptional care of that building. Her daughter, Marilyn (Tom) Batchelor, Ogden, UT, will miss her mother dearly. She is supported at this time by Audrey’s 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011, at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 S. Main Garland, UT, from 6 until 8 pm. Another viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the Tremonton First Ward Building, 166 N. Tremont St. from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The funeral will be held in the same building at 12:00 pm. Internment will be at the Garland Cemetery. The family wants to give a special thanks to Primrose Home Healthcare in Tremonton, and to the staff at Crestwood Care Center in Ogden, for the love and service that they gave to Audrey. She couldn’t have had better care.
