Lois married Lyle D Nessen on March 3, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Howell, where they resided for their 66 years of marriage, raised 5 wonderful children and many bushels of wheat. Their love for one another was truly an example to all who knew them. She loved him with all her heart and he loved her with all of his.
She was a very creative and talented homemaker. Her cooking was well loved by all, from her homemade chocolates and bread to her famous pies. A lot of what she cooked did not come from a cookbook, it came from her heart.
Lois loved to craft, sew and quilt. Everything she did was above and beyond anyone's expectations.
She loved going to Yuma for the winter where she made many lifelong friendships. She loved the Jazz and BYU and going to an occasional game.
Lois helped found the "Howell Booster Club", which raised money for the community. She, along with many other volunteers loved the annual pheasant hunt dinner. This was one of many fund raisers throughout the year.
She loved Howell Valley and cherished her friendships with all who lived there.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many church callings. Her favorite being Primary President, which she was called to twice. She also loved the young women, just as much as they loved her. She was very proud of her 100% visiting teaching record for many many years.
Her family and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her life was centered around them and they have been richly blessed because of the love she had for each and every one of them.
