West Fielding, UT – Lucille Potter, 94, died at her home in West Fielding Monday, August 16, 2010, of causes incident to age. Lucille was born in Farmington, Utah May 3, 1916, a daughter of George C and Elisa Jane Reddish Manning. She graduated from Davis High School and married her friend and companion Steven L Potter, also from Farmington December 16, 1938. Lucille was as member of the LDS church serving in many capacities. She was a dedicated home maker, serving many meals to all the workers on the farm. She later worked as a sales clerk at May’s Dress Shop and the Shamrock convenience store where she accumulated a vast number of very loyal friends. She and Steve very much enjoyed going for drives through the mountains and visiting places they had not been to before. Besides being a good friend to family members and neighbors, she was affectionately called “Grandma” by many younger people. Lucille is survived by her two sons: Gary Potter (Kathi) and Brent Potter (Kathy) and her daughter, Janeal Kaae (Terry); 16 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve and a son, Olene (Nondis), three sisters and six brothers. The family would like to thank Primrose Home Health Care, Bear River Valley Care Center and IHC Hospice for the wonderful care they provided mother. Special recognition is given to Jan for the years of care and service she provided to our mother and our aunt. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Belmont Church, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside. Visitations will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main St., Garland and 10:00-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment in Garland Cemetery.
