Luella Ruth Romer was born December 2, 1915 in Elwood Utah, to Carl Theodore Romer and Valborg Franzine Nelson. She passed away November 17, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Luella was raised on the farm learning the value of hard work and responsibility. She graduated from Bear River High School and furthered her education at Stevens Henagar College. She worked at Ketchum's Building Supply her entire working career. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Luella was a loving, hardworking caregiver all of her life, caring for many loved ones, including her mother and sisters. She loved to read and correspond with cards to family and friends.
Loved ones remember Luella as being thoughtful, down to earth, and as someone who had common sense, and wisdom.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Frances Andrea Peterson, Carl Odell Romer, Elma Arlene Larsen, Anna Leola Christensen Goodey and Joyce Hansen. She is survived by one nephew Del Royce Romer, and two nieces Carla Romer and Rose Ann Hughes.
A viewing will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. with a short service to follow immediately in the chapel. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
