Lydia Poulsen

November 6, 1955 — January 30, 2015

Lydia Taylor Poulsen spread her wings and flew to the big party in heaven January 30, 2015. She will be met by her father (Charles Taylor), father in law (Lloyd Poulsen), Sister (Nancy Taylor), Brother in law (Daniel Franks), nephew (C.J.  Franks), and many more. She was born November 6, 1955 to Charles and Susan Taylor in Tremonton, Utah.

She spent the majority of her life in Box Elder County. She was by her dad’s side at the farm from the time she could walk and when she was old enough to farm herself, she pursued that ambition. She also worked as the parts manager at the John Deere dealership for many years for her father. She received the young farmer of the year award in 1985.

Her biggest love was her family. She was the glue that held everyone together. She loved all animals but especially horses. Although her knees didn’t allow her to keep a few of her hobbies she kept a special place for the horses and skiing. She loved Lake Powell, whale watching and the Oregon coast. Those were the only ways to get her away from the farm and ambulance. She was an E.M.T on the Snowville ambulance for 20 years and a medic for the HOBY organization for 3 years. She put all others needs above her own, and loved being able to serve and help others, and did it up until the very end.

She will be very missed but leaves a legacy behind by her “sometimes” love and husband Dennis Poulsen; her Mother (Susan Taylor); her Mother in law (Joycle Poulsen); her Children: Lori (Jerry) Maxwell, Ryan Poulsen, Sabrina (Ches) Burmester, Seth (Emily) Poulsen and adopted son Kevin Anderson; her Grandchildren: Michaela, Jared, Zachery Maxwell, Bentley, Berlynn Jaydee, Camden, Masen Burmester; her Sisters: Martha Franks, Harriet (Chip Ritter), Joy (DeeJay) Homer; Brothers in law; Reese (Denise) Poulsen, Neil (Dale) Poulsen, Orson (Janette) Poulsen and many more nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, located at 111 N 100 E, Tremonton, Utah on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Curlew Ward LDS church (75 N 100 E) in Snowville, Utah on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with a visitation prior, from 9:00 – 10:30.
