Malcolm Bell, born on July 18, 1945, in Albany, New York, passed away November 10, 2024, reuniting with his beloved wife, Rayola, for time and all eternity. Growing up on his family’s acreage, Malcolm spent his childhood exploring the outdoors and honing his aim by shooting squirrels—a love for the land and hands-on work that became central to his life.
In 1983, Malcolm married Rayola Ann Bell (Hammer) in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They shared a devoted marriage of 41 years, building a life and home together in Tremonton, Utah. Known for his hardworking spirit, Malcolm led Rayola, Jason, Eric and Chelsie in constructing their home from the ground up in 2002. If something needed doing, he would find a way to make it happen.
The family farm became a place of growth and resilience, where Malcolm and Rayola raised animals including pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, goats, and geese. Together, they instilled the values of hard work and self-reliance in their children: Jason, Eric, and Chelsie.
Malcolm attended BYU Idaho, where he met Rayola, and later dedicated 43 years to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), contributing tirelessly to his field.
Malcolm is survived by his children Charlie Bell, Michael Bell, Samantha (Bell) Brown, Jason Tiedeman-Bell, and Chelsie Bell and his grandchildren: James & Virginia (Charlie). Breeanna, Braxton & Wilder (Michael). Tayler & Tommy (Samantha). Landon, Aidan, Brooklyn & Peyton (Jason). Lorelai & Demitri (Chelsie).
Malcolm is preceded in death by his wife Rayola Ann Bell (Hammer), his son Eric Jonathan Bell, his parents Ina Winifred Bell (Robertson) and Walter Jennings Bell, his sister Myrna Delphine Bell, and his brother Roger Donald Bell.
A celebration of Malcolm’s life will be held on Thursday, November 14th, at 6:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 9590 North 6800 West, Tremonton, UT. Family and friends are welcome to join in honoring his life and legacy.
