Margaret Ann Hawkes Jeppesen Udy, 84, passed away on July 12, 2022 in Perry, Utah. She was born December 18, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Mabel Josephine Nielson and Alvin Lawrence Hawkes. She was the seventh of eight children. She was the last surviving sibling in her family.
Margaret married Gary N. Jeppesen on February 4, 1955. To that union were born five children: Jerilyn (Tom) Call, Melanie (Dan) Lawrence, Brian (Susan) Jeppesen, Gregory Jeppesen (Deceased) and G. Scott Jeppesen. They later divorced.
Margaret married Dennis H. Udy on January 11, 1991 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They spent 27 wonderful years together on a beautiful farm in Plymouth, Utah. During this time they served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the desert of Borrego Springs, CA as part of the Riverside, California Mission. Dennis passed away March 16, 2018.
During her lifetime, Margaret lived in Howell, Brigham City, Plymouth, and Perry. She attended Howell Elementary, Bear River High School and Weber State University where she proudly earned her degree in Fashion with honors including a 4.0 GPA.
Margaret is survived by four of her five children; stepchildren, Vonna Brown, Diana Udy, Reese (Eileen) Udy, (Kevin) Loi Ann Glenn, Burke (Corinne) Udy, Wesley (Mona) Udy and (Mike) Sarianne McNeil. She is also survived by 67 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Lawrence Hawkes and Mabel Josephine Nielson; siblings, Carmen Hawkes, Clotiel Jones, Robert Lawrence Hawkes, Boyd Albert Hawkes, Jean Stander, DeVere Nielson Hawkes and Vanez Leroy Hawkes; son, Gregory Jeppesen.
A special heartfelt thanks to all those who have loved and cared for Margaret from Maple Springs, The Beehive Home of Perry and Hospice Care.
Services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the Perry LDS Church (685 Davis Street Perry, Utah) with a viewing held prior from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Interment will be held at the Logan Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed below.
