TREMONTON- The world lost a vibrant soul today, Aug. 21, 2014, when Marjorie Larue Isaacson decided to return to the loving arms of our father in heaven. She was born July 23, 1923 of goodly parents, Chester and Olive Walton.
After living on this earth for a lengthy period and being bound the last few years, she was ready to return to riding horses and herding cattle in green pastures and knew the only way she could was to return to heaven.
Marjorie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, second ward. She served as the greeter.
She brought six children into this world, and they have continued her tradition with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grandma worked as a jack of all trades, there was not much she could not do. She was a cow hand, rodeo wrangler, truck driver, babysitter and all around cow girl. She was a fabulous cook, and passed down the art of putting up jam, tomatoes and many bottled items.
She was a person of great character with nothing being taken for granted. You always knew where you stood with her, as she never sugar coated a thing. If you wanted to know the true character of a person she was sure to tell you.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Victory (Richard) Crawford, Joann (Jess) Hancock, Faye (Don) Bowen, Berva D (Tom) Thurston; and son David Jr. Isaacson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters and one son, Dallas.
A Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. –Tremonton). She will be buried in Cleveland Idaho on Monday, Aug. 25 with a graveside service at Noon.
The family wishes to thank the BR Care Center, Karl Wall, Jodi Scott and her granddaughter, Trinitty Cook. What a marvelous, caring facility for grandma to spend her last year on earth. Also, a special thanks to Encompass Hospice, Lori Gillies and granddaughter, Kamie Haslam, who without their help would have made this journey much harder.
