Marvin Hambleton was born February 10, 1955 to Max and Vera Hambleton.
He grew up in Salt Lake City and spent most of his life there. He graduated from Brighton High School, then later fulfilled a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1979-1980 in the Florida, Tampa mission. He attended Utah State University studying Aeronautical Mechanics. This is where he met his future wife Lesa D Heath. They were married April 30, 1982 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Together they had 6 children Johnathan David Hambleton, Steven Ray Hambleton, Brian James Hambleton, Sarah Elizabeth Hambleton, Benjamin Arthur Hambleton and Jason Lee Hambleton.
Marvin spent many years working in construction as a carpenter building homes and other projects, but the job he was most proud of was when he helped build the Mount Timpanogos Temple.
He later worked for UPS and finally became a truck driver for Gordon Trucking. He loved this job as it allowed him to travel and see the country, especially Canada which he loved.
Marvin was a lifelong member of the LDS church and was very faithful and dedicated. Even while traveling around the country he always attended the local ward wherever he was.
By far his greatest love and joy was his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who would do anything for his children and grandchildren. He was also a dedicated son and did whatever he could to care for his mother. He also dearly loved his sister Connie and her family.
Marvin passed away on June 30, 2016 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was tenderly cared for by his children in their homes right to the end when he passed into the next life surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his children: Johnathan (Jennifer) Hambleton, Steven (Chelsie) Hambleton, Brian (Sarah) Hambleton, Sarah (Jeremy) Kidman and Benjamin (Marie) Hambleton.
His Grandchildren: Hazel, Mya, Waylon, Elsie, Megan, Dominick, Drake, Demetri and Sophie Hambleton.
