Mary Roberts

Tremonton- Mary Evelyn Christensen Roberts passed away peacefully on March 4, 2012 in the Bear River Care Center. Evelyn was born on June 27, 1916 in Plain City Utah to Mary Irene Sharp and Oscar Child Richardson. Evelyn raised her children with her first husband, RA Christensen, after his untimely death she later married John O. Nielson and upon his death later married Harvey Roberts. She has lived in Plain City UT, Tremonton UT, Yuma AZ, and Hiko NV. Evelyn was involved with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Posse; she was a cook at Bear River High and was a Box Elder County Rodeo Queen attendant. She enjoyed Ladies League Softball, cooking and horsemanship. She was also a faithful visiting teacher and friend. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Joyce Harris, 10 grandchildren and a sister Mae Wheatly. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, two daughters, and six siblings. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Rogers & Taylor Funeral home in Tremonton (111 N. 100 E), there will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
