Matthew Clayton Steinlicht, age 48, passed away, Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the McKay-Dee Hospital. Matthew was born on July 29, 1969 to mother Mary Ellen Cosgrove.
He attended Box Elder High School and was employed at Rupp’s Trucking and Excavation in Tremonton, Utah.
He loved fishing, target shooting, BBQing, setting off fireworks, and being with friends and family. He also loved music and was a talented artist. He loved sharing memories and time with his best friend and love of his life, Christy, and his little dog Xena.
Matt was strong and put up a fight like I have never seen, Matt loved hanging out with family and close friends just enjoying their company and BBQing (throwing some meat on the grill). He loved sturgeon and steel head fishing on the Columbia River. Everywhere he went people loved him.
Matt was a great guy with a huge heart, who loved helping others, making others laugh. He had a quick wit and enjoyed joking around.
He is survived by: the love of his life, Christy Bronson (UT); mother, Mary Ellen Cosgrove(OH); sister, Jennifer (Sean) Roberts (OH); Son Mckalen (Mick) (Hollie) Hartog; grandson, Dakota Hartog (South Weber); Daughter Larissa Kay Steinlicht (OR).
He is preceded in death by his sister Misty Wilkinson (OR).
Funeral services will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E Tremonton, Utah) from 5-6:30 PM on Sunday evening, February 18, 2018.
The family would like to give a special thanks to nurses Jeremy, Jared, and Jen at McKay-Dee Hospital.
