Maude Jensen

Maude Yearsley Jensen, 101 passed away on November 1, 2012 in Tremonton, Utah. She was born April 9, 1911 in Woodruff, Idaho to James Heber Yearsley and Rosa Janet Howell. She married Royal Baker Jensen on June 24, 1931 in the Logan LDS Temple. She lived in Woodruff, Malad- Devil Creek, and New Canyon area, Idaho, Smithfield and Tremonton, Utah. She attended Woodruff Elementary until 8th grade. She spent her life taking care of her family as a homemaker. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, quilter and a wonderful mother and teacher of seven children. Maude was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in the Relief Society, Sunday School and the Primary. She also did temple extraction work and spent many years attending the temple. She is survived by Janet Jensen(Duane deceased), Cecil Sweeten (Arlis deceased), Larry (Linda) Jensen, Melba (Richard) Hill, Stanley (Catherine) Jensen, Stewart (Ardis) Jensen, Sheila (Lynn) Capener and one sister, Carma. Maude is survived by 40 Grandchildren, 116 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, three sisters, husband, one son Duane, one daughter Arlis, one daughter-in-law Fredell, one granddaughter, Alison and two great grandchildren Grace and Keanu. Our family would like to thank Our House staff for their wonderful care and kindness and for Access Hospice for their constant, tender care. Funeral services for Maude will be held Saturday November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Belmont LDS Church (16025 North 5200 West Riverside, UT). There will be a viewing held previous to the funeral from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Interment in the Smithfield Cemetery.
