Melanie (Reese) Steed

Melanie Reese Steed passed away on April 22, 2024 in Henderson, NV.  She was born on June 27, 1948 to parents Stan and Gloria Reese in Brigham City, UT.  

She attended Bear River High School.  Melanie had various jobs over the years finally retiring from Sunset Station, in Henderson, NV.

She married Doug Richardson and had two daughters Michelle and Stephanie.  They later divorced.  Melanie met and married the love of her life Farrell Steed on March 31, 1979.  She gained two more daughters Angie and Kristina from this union.  They had recently celebrated their 45^th wedding anniversary.

Melanie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma and friend to all who knew her.  She was a hard worker and a great cook, she passed those on to her kids.   There were many trips to Montana to visit her lifelong friend Cheryl.  She also loved traveling to California and Yuma, AZ.

She lived in Tremonton, Garland, then she and Farrell packed up and moved to warmer climates in Henderson, NV.  She loved when family would come and visit, there were always many tears shed when it was time to go.  

Melanie is survived by her husband Farrell; daughters Michelle Westmoreland, Stephanie (Brad) Mckinley, Amanda (Victor) Quijano, Angie Dawn O’Campo, and Kristina Moore (Jerry Olson); 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings; Jeff and Becky Reese, Kirk and Leslie Reese, LeaAnn and Blaine Potter.  She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew Jason Potter who held a special place in her heart, father and mother-in-law, many grandparents.

We would like to thank Amanda (granddaughter turned daughter) for all the love, support and help she provided to Mom over the years.  We are forever indebted to you.

We would also like to thank the Henderson EMTs and St Rose Hospital for all their work and effort.

A Graveside service for Melanie will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Noon at the Garland Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior from 10-11:20 A.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E , Tremonton).
