Michael Eddis Fredrickson, age 66 died Feb. 9 2010 in Roosevelt UT of complications from a stroke. He was born July 24, 1943 in Tremonton UT to J. Eddis Frederickson and Audrey Nish Fredrickson. He grew up in Tremonton with one brother, Dennis Fredrickson and three sisters; Sharon Snell, Marilyn Batchelor and Janette Wise. He was never without his beloved guitar and cowboy hat. He attended Bear River High School and Utah State University. He met and married DeAnn Porter in 1965. They had a son Sean (Jolyn) Fredrickson and a daughter Heidi (Cody) Hurlbert. They later divorced. He married Leslie Pingel; they were married 14 years and later divorced. Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mike spent the better part of his working life driving semi trucks, acquiring over 4.5 million miles. He was an AVID Oakland Raiders fan, drove ¼ mile dragsters and has been over 200 mph in ¼ mile strip. He loved horses, mountains, campfires and world history. Mike was a social magnet. If you couldn’t see him you could darn well hear him. He was free spirit and wasn’t afraid to try anything. Mike’s biggest passion was playing the guitar. He is preceded in death by his father, J. Eddis, his brother Dennis and sisters Sharon and Janette. He is survived by his mother, Audrey and his children. A social to celebrate Mike’s life will be held Saturday Feb. 13, 2010 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Rudd Funeral Home 1234 S. Main Garland UT. Interment will be at the East Garland Cemetery. The family suggests that donations can be made to Rudd Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
