Michael Moss

February 13, 1940 — April 5, 2015

Michael Keith Moss died on April 5, 2015 at 9:30pm from a massive heart attack.

He was born Feb. 13, 1940 in Malad, Idaho to Calvin Keith Moss and Sara Parry Moss.  He graduated from Bear River High School in 1958 where he met and married Connie Archibald.  He and Connie had three children.  They later divorced and on Jan 5, 1978 he was married to Lorna Garner of Hyrum, Utah. Together they had one daughter.

Mike had many passions and hobbies.  He had a life long love for horses and wouldn’t watch a movie unless it had a horse in it.  He enjoyed people from all walks of life.  He spoke to strangers and had a friend everywhere he went.   He loved spending time with his family especially cart rides with his grandkids.

After graduating from Bear River High School he worked in his family trucking business, Keith Moss and Sons.  He and his father worked side by side for 22 years.  Mike continued in the transportation industry until the time of his death. At present he was driving for Holiday Motor Coaches and Centrol de la Familia in Honeyville.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Sara Parry Moss and his father Calvin Keith Moss and his in-laws Keith and Arlene Garner.

He is survived by his wife Lorna Garner Moss, children Cindy (Steve) Russo, Penny (Kent) Keoppel, Cortney (Erin) Moss, Melissa Jane Moss and her daughter Cheyenne Jane Moss (Shortcake).  One Sister, Mary Jane (Kay) Leishman and one brother, Kim (Terry) Moss.  Mike had 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and in-laws Rod (Jill) Garner, LuAnn (Sheridan) Peterson, Kathy (Doug) Bingham, Kevin (Casey) Garner and Gina (Andrew) Griffiths. He was “Muncle” Mike to many nieces and nephews that loved him.

Funeral services for Mike will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fielding LDS Stake Center (4375 W. 15600 N. – Fielding, UT). Viewings will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. - Tremonton, UT) and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Sat. at the church, prior to the service.
