Mildred Louise (Dodd) Lee

Mildred Louise Dodd Lee passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, peacefully in her sleep.

She was born on July 10, 1945, in Monroe, LA, a daughter of Cecil Dodd and Gracie Vernandis Mathis Poulsen.

Mildred married Marvin Woodward in 1969 and raised five children. Later she married Dale Oscar Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, brother, sister and her son Justin Woodward and several nephews and a niece.

Surviving is her husband Dale Oscar Lee; daughters Edie May Stevenson, Gracie Arleen Woodward, Marcie Jean Woodward; son Jeremy Lee Woodward (Amy Woodward); stepson Ryan Dale Lee; six sisters, two brothers, 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many loved ones.

Millie was a beautiful spirit, a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched many lives of those who knew her. She liked music and dancing and going on trips with her family, sisters and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her children and grands. She was a joyful giving soul who was so grateful for the simple things and embraced her loved ones and faith in God always.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church where she participated in the quilting circle and volunteered at the soup kitchens. With her kind heart, she made many friends feel like family. Her presence here on earth will be missed deeply but her spirit will remain a bright light that’s always with us.
